All facets of chaos: how to correctly compose a disheveled bridal bouquet

The image of the bride should be both feminine and romantic, gentle and slightly perky, and most importantly natural, because today this is a fashion trend. The “ruffled” wedding bouquet, which has become a recognized leader in European floristry, can support the given “natural” style better than others. It differs markedly from arrangements of the classical form, where strict symmetry reigns and each element is assigned a clear role.

“Ruffled” or, as it is also called, a free-form bouquet, at first glance seems chaotic, but at the same time captivates the eye and evokes genuine admiration. It has its own unique harmony, understandable without words. To create something like this requires an intuitive sense of color, style and shape. No less important is knowledge, without which the composition will turn into a soulless collection of branches, greenery and flowers.

Features of a disheveled composition

At first glance, the bouquet of disheveled flowers looks as if the bride collected it immediately before the celebration in her garden, even if the plants are tropical species.
No strict lines, buds tightly pressed together and strict symmetry. On the contrary, the composition amazes with its naturalness, and each flower gets the role of a leading soloist.

In reality, creating a tousled composition requires just as much effort and knowledge as creating messy curls or another stylish “natural” element of the image.

Milkweed involves the use of at least five plant names. Only in this case does the ensemble look truly interesting. However, it is not recommended to add more than nine types, unless you are creating an accessory for a gypsy wedding.
Advice! It is necessary to arrange the flowers so that they do not interfere with each other, do not overlap the beautiful elements, but at the same time, the stem of the accessory should fit easily into the palm, because the bride will have to hold the bouquet almost all day.

Eustoma - the most charming varieties

"Aurora"

One of the most beautiful varieties This is one of the most popular and sought-after varieties, it is considered tall - it will grow more than a meter in height. It has a double inflorescence and completely different shades - sky blue, pink, blue and white. This variety can be called early, as it always blooms 1-2 weeks earlier than all other eustomas. At the same time, the flowers remain decorative for a very long time and do not fade.

"Carmen"

Gorgeous hybrid. It is grown in pots, as the height does not exceed 25 cm, the flowers are up to 5 cm in diameter. This eustoma is a rich purple with blue color. The inflorescences are large, strewn throughout the stem, creating the appearance of a dark ball. Valued for its decorative effect, shade and long flowering.

"Echo"

A very interesting variety, because it also blooms quite early and has different colors - it can be two-colored or monotonous. The bushes grow up to 70 cm in height; they are medium-sized, but quite impressive in size - they spread out to the sides. The inflorescences are beautiful and large.

"Heidi"

A tall bush - more than a meter in height. The flowers are simple, but large and pleasant, and can be of different shades. The color looks very beautiful, where the petals are white with a blue border. In general, there are many blue shades in the world of flowers and plants, but blue ones are always rare. Such shades are very decorative and appreciated.

A beautiful name for luxurious eustoma flowers. There are again many different shades here, the height of the bushes is up to 1.5 meters. They are powerful, the inflorescences are large, the variety is valued for its easy care and unpretentiousness.

"Mermaid"

This is exactly the variety that can be called dwarf - up to 15 cm in height. The bush is very full, it does not need to be pinched to increase the growth of side shoots for lushness. The flowers are of a simple type, the inflorescences have soft pink, blue, white and lavender petals. Grows at home on the window.

Combination with wedding style

A free-form bouquet is quite versatile, because its size is not regulated.

A small, elegant composition is perfect for short, fragile brides, while a voluminous and textured one is perfect for tall brides.

Ruffles fit harmoniously into themed weddings - eco, rustic, country. Actually, the style of the bouquet initially originated at these celebrations, but having found itself on the crest of a wave of fashion trends, disheveled flowers also become welcome guests at weddings, the theme of which is less tied to nature.

Classic, vintage, shabby chic - just replace the wildflowers with more luxurious ones , but do not collect them along strict lines, and the magical bouquet, as if breathing freedom, is ready.

Decor

When choosing a bouquet design, be sure to focus on the theme of the wedding, because what looks harmonious and cute in one style will be perceived as alien in another.

A vintage or retro celebration implies an abundance of various details. The bouquet is decorated with a skirt made of tulle or lace, feathers, rhinestones, and pieces of fur. Pendants in the form of a birdcage, a mask, hearts, keys and locks look very good. The flowers themselves can be decorated with rhinestones or pearls of a contrasting color, mesh, artificial birds or butterflies.

If the outfit or accessories have some bright accent, for example, beads or a lace pattern, then a great idea is to repeat it in the design of the bouquet, for example, by decorating the leg accordingly

When decorating a bouquet for a celebration in natural styles - rustic, country, eco-wedding - pay attention to craft paper, regular twine and even untreated linen

Art Nouveau and steampunk allow the use of unusual elements for decoration - abstract sculptures made of plastic, wood and metal, newspapers, wires, gears and microcircuits.

An ordinary satin ribbon intercepting succulent stems is a classic, but no less captivating option.

Palette – white or colored?

Most often, the traditional white color, liberally diluted with fresh herbs, is chosen for the disheveled plant. Such a bouquet means innocence and purity, the beginning of a new life, sublime, time-tested love.

Both modest wildflowers and exquisite roses, lilies, callas or exotic sensual orchids, alstroemeria, and succulents look great.
In white disheveled it is permissible to use several shades - milky, cream, ivory, because naturalness does not set strict boundaries. Make sure that the tones are either cold or warm, otherwise they will conflict. A more saturated version is pink, the color of love, tenderness and romance. The gradient from very bright large flowers, such as peonies, to small powdery carnations or tea roses looks very nice.
Pink goes well with white, yellow and even red. By the way, the scarlet bouquet of disheveled flowers looks no less interesting - the abundance of greenery smoothes out excessive aggression, leaving interesting bright accents reminiscent of passion and attraction to each other. Another contrasting option is a blue bouquet. Cornflowers, chrysanthemums, eustoma, and irises will perfectly set off a snow-white dress, emphasizing the royalty of the image. Blue goes well with lilac, white, pink, and if you want bright contrasts, then with yellow , but be careful with the selection of combinations so that the free form of the bouquet does not look careless.

At an eco-style wedding, a purely green bouquet - made of herbs or various buds - will be a wonderful solution. This accessory looks very fresh, reminiscent of spring, life and tranquility.

Idea! A magnificent, at the same time bright and delicate combination of green and white is ideal for a tousled bouquet.

Bottom line

A bouquet of ruffled flowers is a fashionable and popular trend. It has become so widespread because of the message it conveys. Basically, this is a special tenderness and romance of the image. Ruffles can be created from both classic flowers and original inflorescences. \

In addition, it would be useful to add eucalyptus branches, field inflorescences, cones and even fruits. This composition can highlight the excellent style that the bride has. But problems are also possible here. Therefore, it is worth approaching the creation of such a bouquet responsibly and correctly composing the composition.

Ideas for choosing colors

There are no restrictions! The composition can consist of both field and garden plants, including those grown by yourself, as well as exquisite roses, lilies, orchids or exotic calla lilies, alstroemeria, protea.

The design of the ensemble is important - forget about rhinestones or lace and use a variety of greenery, dried flowers, ears of corn, and tree branches. An excellent addition would be the graceful inflorescences of gypsophila. It is also possible to decorate flowers with fluffy clouds of cotton, sweet peas, and fern leaves.

Since fluff is most often present at nature-themed weddings, first of all you should pay attention to terry, slightly careless buds - peonies, David Austin roses, dahlias, lilacs, chrysanthemums, carnations.

More luxurious plants should be added carefully so that they can be seen from all sides, but at the same time they look as natural as possible in the overall composition , as if a lily or orchid had really grown among the democratic thickets of lavender and cornflowers.

From peony roses and eustoma

Interesting compositions are obtained from a combination of lush, vintage buds of peony roses and a simpler, but no less charming eustoma , reminiscent of a regal rose, but with softer petals.

A huge variety of shades of both plants will allow you to choose an interesting combination for any outfit, color type and for any wedding theme.

The atmosphere of country chic will be emphasized by a powdery solution - gray-pink, cream, pale blue. For volume, it is also better to choose greens of a grayish or bluish tint, for example, eucalyptus or dried flowers.

If the image is planned to be spring and full of life, then it is better to use multi-colored bright buds , placing them in a dominant green monochrome. This accessory looks great with a simple flowing style of a snow-white dress and a lush wreath of the same flowers.

From alstroemerias and freesias

If ruffled lilies require quite careful use, then slightly similar, but much more miniature alstroemerias will fit perfectly into any composition.

A huge palette of colors, including unusual ones, with spots, stripes or edging, will allow the hosts to choose any of your favorite colors. Delicate freesias will wonderfully complement the picture, emphasizing the beauty of the exotic neighbor.

Important! What’s also very convenient about the combination of alstroemeria and freesia is that both plants are extremely unpretentious, they can easily withstand a long wedding day without water, and after the celebration they will delight you with a fresh look and enchanting aroma for several more weeks.

The pink monochrome looks interesting, especially if the alstroemeria turns out to be spotted. The main thing is to remember to add more greens. A single large flower also looks original; for example, a lily or a rose can crown a bouquet.

From eustoma, eucalyptus and fatsia

Eucalyptus is presented in a variety of forms - carved, smooth or elongated shoots can be traditionally green, gray, blue.

Fatsia has very large, succulent leaves of an interesting shape, so they prefer to place it next to the buds of other plants. Of course, in a disheveled environment this cannot be done as carefully as possible, but this is not required - the proximity of greenery will already revive the main character of this fairy tale - the charming eustoma.

The combination of both already blossoming flowers and just emerging buds looks interesting - don’t be afraid to overdo it with leaves and stems in this composition.

Eustoma can be two-color due to the edging of the petals . It is wise to use this accent, for example, by adding other small plants of secondary color.

From alstroemerias, carnations and bush roses

If you want to get a romantic, disheveled bouquet, then take a closer look at the composition of alstroemerias, carnations and bush roses.

Exquisite aristocratic alstroemeria will add notes of elegance, fluffy fragrant carnations will add joy, volume and texture, and delicate bush-like roses, a symbol of love and romance , but in a softer, miniature design, will make the bouquet truly fabulous.

You can add greenery or small inflorescences, for example, gypsophila, but even undiluted, the trio of alstroemeria, carnations and roses already looks quite decent.

The bouquet looks wonderful both in delicate pastel colors and in bright blue-violet or orange-red tones ; fortunately, a large amount of greenery will prevent the picture from becoming too flashy. A pure white option is also possible, but it is better to choose non-solid alstroemeria for an interesting accent.

What kind of wedding bouquets can you make with your own hands?

A DIY wedding bouquet is the main floral element of the bride. You can make completely different compositions using paper, artificial, fresh flowers, beads, ribbons, and other materials:

  • a mini bouquet is a small composition;
  • round spherical bouquet;
  • cascading composition that hangs down;
  • in the shape of a ball on a ribbon;
  • vertical composition made with flowers on long stems;
  • free-form bouquet;
  • a large flower, which is made by hand from individual petals;
  • original shapes in the form of a fan, belt, handbag, etc.

From beads and beads

If you want to amaze everyone with a beautiful, exclusive, unusual bouquet, pay attention to such materials for composing it as beads. Compared to fresh flowers, this composition has a number of advantages:

  • it will withstand all weather tests;
  • the bouquet will be exclusive, compiled according to your wishes;
  • it will stay with you for the rest of your life as a memory of your happiest day.

Bridal bouquet made of corrugated paper

The basis of the floral arrangement can be a variety of flowers made using corrugated paper. This material allows you to create a variety of shapes. They look very cute and relevant, suitable for a celebration of any style or trend. A wide selection of corrugated paper in different shades allows you to bring your wildest creative ideas to life.

Using artificial flowers

A wedding bouquet made with artificial flowers with your own hands is very durable. It will survive a long walk, a photo shoot, a stuffy restaurant, and any weather conditions. At the end of the celebration, the bouquet will not lose its splendor, and you will not have to worry about the flowers breaking or withering. After the wedding, the bride will be able to keep the bouquet for a long memory. In addition, you can safely experiment with different shapes and shades of artificial flowers.

Wedding bouquet of pine cones and sweets

DIY wedding bouquets made using sweets are considered an original, interesting solution that will attract attention. It is suitable for those brides who suffer from pollen allergies

There are many options for creating such a composition: mono-bouquets with expensive sweets, with treats made to order, with funny candies. Such compositions can fit into weddings of different themes.

Pine cones are a symbol of winter, so they are perfect for making a bouquet for a winter wedding. In addition, such compositions fit well into an ethnic or rustic style wedding. They can be fir, deciduous, pine, cedar, spruce. The cones look very beautiful and bright in combination with red berries and spruce branches. Conventionally, such compositions are divided into two categories:

  • Mono-bouquets made with the help of pine cones, decorated with a minimum of other elements.
  • Prefabricated compositions where cones are not the only element. Such bouquets may include ferns, flowers, spikelets, spruce branches, berries, and artificial materials.

Recommendations

The bouquet must be combined with the overall theme of the wedding and the image of the bride. The disheveled look does not at all fit with the strict lines of the dress and luxurious classics , but to get a complete look, sometimes only a small detail is enough - a thin wreath of the same wildflowers on the bride’s head or non-standard elements in the floral design of the hall.

Here are some more useful tips from florists:

  • If you have a wedding in a rustic, country, eco, or Provence theme, then you don’t have to worry. The free form of the bouquet will fit perfectly into the celebration;
  • Despite the apparent simplicity of execution, it is better to entrust the composition to a professional. This way you will be sure that each flower will reveal its best qualities and will not come into conflict with its neighbors;

Important! It is advisable that there are from 5 to 9 plant names in the shakes. Less - it will be too boring, more - too bright.

  • The bouquet does not require any special decor, but to keep the composition in place, tie it with twine. Satin or chiffon ribbons can be used, but they should not look too luxurious;
  • Remember that not all flowers go together. For example, roses, lilies, orchids will try to poison the water in the vase and destroy their neighbors, so after the celebration the bouquet will have to be divided;
  • All plants tolerate heat, cold and drought differently - it is worth taking care of the bouquet, taking into account the requirements of the most fragile flower;
  • The taller the bride, the larger the flower arrangement can be. It is better for petite girls to choose small bouquets.

Meaning and symbolism

The color Marsala became popular relatively recently, but has already taken pride of place in the wardrobe of many fashionistas. Gradually, the fashion for the shade began to move from clothes and shoes to other items, including flowers. A burgundy bouquet can rarely be seen as a wedding bouquet, but if the bride still decides to carry it in her hands, admiring glances are guaranteed. As a rule, flowers convey the internal state of a couple. This shade of wedding flowers will tell about sensual passion and love.

The Italian word "marsala" comes from Sicily. It was the name given to one of the varieties of strong wine produced in these parts. This color is a combination of burgundy and terracotta shades, personifying a storm of emotions, luxury and royalty.

The tone goes well with other colors, the main thing is that they do not compete with it for attention. White, pink, beige are perfect pairs

For a rich wedding in the Baroque style, a combination of Marsala with black and gold tones would be appropriate.

Florists consider flowers of this shade to be an excellent option for a wedding held in autumn or winter. It is also suitable for a summer event, but only at the very end of this time of year. If the bride wants a spring wedding, then the shade will have to be diluted with lighter and lighter colors. By the way, not every representative of the fair sex will suit a bouquet of this color scheme. As a rule, it looks natural in the hands of bright brides with dark hair and fair skin. It is also suitable for red-haired ladies, but only for those with cool-toned hair.

Marsala is usually chosen by brides with a strong character and passionate nature. Such a girl clearly knows what she wants from the future with her chosen one and is a confident person. The internal state in the mood of such girls plays an important role.

For romantic and sophisticated girls, flowers in soft, delicate tones such as pink, yellow or white are ideal.

As for lovers of strict classics, it is better for them to completely abandon the Peruvian and give preference to roses.

Rustic weddings are usually held in the warm season, when many berries and fruits are available. Often at a wedding, a creamy treat is replaced by a pie with whipped cream and berries.

A naked rustic wedding cake is not greased around the edges, but this method of preparation allows you to end up with a slightly sloppy dessert that looks like a pile of delicious pancakes. The cakes are coated with cheese cream and decorated with raspberries, blueberries, cherries, blueberries, and peaches. The main meal is served on a stand made from cut wood.

Another option for a multi-tiered wedding cake is a dessert that looks like a tree trunk. In this case, brown cakes are decorated with white cream. The bottom cake is made with a larger diameter. Assembling a cake for a wedding in a rustic style in the form of a turret.

On the middle cake, you can draw a heart and the inscription “Name of the groom + name of the bride” or their initials using brown cream. Such youthful romance will remind you of childhood, when lovers carved their names on trees.

Cakes can also be made in the form of galvanized wooden barrels. The top of the cakes is decorated with grated chocolate, which imitates earth. It’s a good idea to plant several plants in the “ground”—live or made from mastic, cream, or dough.

For a wedding, you can make a simple white cylindrical cake, decorate it with white fondant and paint twigs with barely blossoming leaves with food coloring. Minimalism is encouraged, so decorating a rustic cake should not be replete with details. To simulate multi-layering, a simple treat is placed on a wooden stand. The lower tiers will feature themed cakes and cupcakes.

For a rustic cake, simple village products are used: eggs, sour cream, honey. The cakes are baked quite thick - 2-2.5 cm. In this case, the dough should be soft and crumbly.

The classic style is more advantageously conveyed through the shape of a ball or hemisphere. Miniature spherical bouquets perfectly harmonize with the fragile figure of the bride and emphasize the sophistication of the fitted dress.

Florists advise combining scarlet buds with white or pink petals. The composition of cream and orange shades also deserves positive reviews.

Manufacturing

A rustic cake is elegance with simplicity and minimalism. Even the simplest white cake will sparkle if served on a wooden disk surrounded by living plants. Since rustic cake recipes are simple and require readily available ingredients, you can make the cake yourself. If you don’t have time for baking, you can use the services of a pastry studio.

To make a rustic wedding cake you will need the following ingredients.

  • flour - 1 glass;
  • sugar - 1 glass;
  • milk - 100 ml;
  • egg - 1 piece;
  • sunflower oil - 50 ml;
  • cocoa powder - 3 tablespoons;
  • baking soda - 1 teaspoon;
  • baking powder - 1 teaspoon;
  • vanillin - 1 teaspoon;
  • salt - 0.5 teaspoon;
  • hot water - 100 ml.

For buttercream:

  • cream - 1 glass;
  • powdered sugar - 1 tablespoon.

For the buttercream:

  • butter - 1 pack;
  • condensed milk - 200 g.

For the ganache cream:

The amount of ingredients is calculated for 1 cake.

  1. Separate the white from the yolk. Beat the egg whites with a blender.
  2. Mix all dry crust ingredients. Stir so that there are no lumps. Use a whisk when mixing.
  3. Add the yolk to the vegetable oil and combine with milk.
  4. Add the mixture to the flour and cocoa, mix well with a spoon.
  5. Knead the dough, then add the egg white.
  6. Pour in half a glass of boiling water. You will get a liquid dough similar in consistency to sour cream.
  7. Take a round baking dish, pour in the dough and place in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 40 minutes.
  8. Cool the cake on a wire rack, turning the convex side down to level the surface.
  9. Bake the second cake.
  10. While the cakes are cooling, prepare the buttercream. Take cream, half a spoon of vanilla and a heaping tablespoon of powdered sugar. Beat at highest speed until the cream begins to thicken. To avoid cream separation, reduce mixer speed.
  11. Cut the cakes in half. Since the cakes do not need impregnation, you can proceed straight to assembly.
  12. Brush the halved cake with cream. Cover with the other half of the cake. Do the same with the second cake layer.
  13. To decorate the edges you will need 200 g of butter and the same amount of condensed milk. Soften the butter with a whisk. Add condensed milk. Butter cream has a dense structure, so it is traditionally used to level baked goods. Grease the top and sides of the cake.
  14. Use ganache cream for decoration. Pour hot cream over the chopped chocolate and leave for 5 minutes. Mix thoroughly. Using a pastry syringe, make chocolate drips on the cake around the circumference of the top layer. Make a border at the base of the cake.
  15. Decorate the top of the cake with strawberries.

Super moist chocolate cake is ready. It has a moderately sweet taste and delicate texture. Even a beginner can handle the preparation. A rustic wedding cake, as in the photo, will fit perfectly into the wedding concept.
