The finished “webs” are decorated with smaller balls, paper flowers, ribbons, and various figures. When there are a lot of them, whole garlands and plot compositions are created.

Necessary materials, tools

Tools and materials you will need:

threads – knitting or sewing;
balloons must be round;
wallpaper glue or PVA;
cup or container for glue;
some water;
scissors;
needle;
tweezers.

Threads can be taken in any color or white - the finished ball is then spray-painted. Floss, wool or regular sewing threads are suitable. It is better not to use office glue - it does not “hold” the threads well.

The better the thread fibers are twisted, the stronger the structure will be. Sugar syrup is also added to the glue for greater strength.

Basic technique

Step-by-step description of making a thread ball:

inflate the balloon, but only enough so that it becomes round;
glue is mixed with water to obtain a homogeneous consistency;
the threads are dipped in glue, but not all at once;
as an option - the thread is threaded into a needle, the bottle of glue is pierced, the thread is pulled through it, saturated with glue;
then the thread is wound randomly around the ball;
when enough has been wound, the thread is cut, the tip is tightly secured with glue;
the ball is hung or placed on a tray - after 10-20 hours, depending on the thickness of the threads, it will dry completely;
to speed up the process, you can dry the structure using a hairdryer - this will take no more than an hour;
when the ball has already dried and hardened, it is peeled off from the frame with your hands, pierced with a needle, but if it has dried too much to the threads, it is separated with tweezers.

When you plan to make a lot of thread balls, you don’t have to pierce the air balloon - you can just let the air out of it and carefully remove it without damaging it.

If the inflated ball is pre-smeared with any rich cream, the threads will lag well behind the base and you won’t have to tear it off with your hands.

How to decorate a ball-web as usual:

painted from a can or by hand;
pasted over with rhinestones and sparkles;
embroidered with beads, bugles, sequins;
decorated with pompons, tassels;
decorated with knitted elements.

For uniform coloring, acrylic from a spray can is suitable - you can use several colors at the same time. They also paint by hand with acrylic paint and brushes - this is a little more complicated, but you can depict stripes and multi-colored tints. Shiny elements, beautiful plant seeds (beans, lupine), paper butterflies, dried flowers, twigs are glued to the surface using PVA glue. Beads, beads, beautiful buttons, textile ribbons are sewn on with thin threads.

How to prepare our “desserts”?

We inflate large white balloons with helium.
We print sheets with a “waffle” background, roll them into cones and secure them at the bottom of the balls with double-sided tape. Naturally, it is better to glue the tape from the inside, so as not to spoil the overall appearance of the “ice cream”.
We pass the ribbon down directly through the hole in the cone (don't forget to leave this useful hole).
Next, the “ice cream” can be released to the ceiling or tied with ribbons to the cutlery - let the dessert hang above the table.

Some people call specialists to create these decorations, others sculpt aerial sculptures on their own.

They are relevant for any event. You can create a garden of flowers for a children’s party, a forest of aerial Christmas trees for the New Year’s holiday, children’s favorite cartoon characters, etc.

We bring to your attention the simplest version of a three-dimensional figure - flowers:

We will need: latex balloons (green, yellow, white), threads, ribbons and wire, a hand pump and, of course, a good mood.
Inflate 5 white balloons, which will be flower petals.
We tie them together, fastening them with threads or wire, so that the petals look in different directions.
Now we inflate 5 yellow balloons 2 times smaller in size (or simply inflate them not completely). We also connect them and create the core of the flower.
We connect the petals (bottom) with the core (top).
Inflate the red balloon and secure it in the center at the top (this will be the “pestle”).
We create the stem from elongated green balls. We put on several long “sausages”, weave them like a rope and attach them to the base of the petals.
At the base we place 4 large green balls connected to each other (for stability), and on top of them – 4 small green balls. This will be a “flowerbed”.
Now we connect the stem to the “flowerbed” - our flower is ready.
You can decorate it with serpentine, sparkles, etc.

Volumetric balls made of threads look very sophisticated at a wedding party. They can be used in closed banquet halls and at outdoor ceremonies, and they are made very quickly and simply:

Inflate the balloons to the required size.
Prepare a sticky mixture of 1.5 cups of glue, half a cup of starch and a quarter cup of water.
Take the threads and, dipping them into the adhesive mixture, tightly wrap the ball over the entire surface.
Let the product dry for 24 hours, and then pierce and remove the ball.

You can hang these balls from the ceiling or make interesting compositions for tables, complementing them with flowers and candles. And if you hang voluminous balls on a garland of bright (not heated) light bulbs or simply on chandeliers and under the ceiling, you will get an incredibly romantic and warm atmosphere.

Kitchen

Chandeliers in the kitchen interior add coziness and create a family atmosphere. It is best to choose small lamps mounted near the ceiling with a simple design, this will facilitate maintenance and emphasize its practicality.

We inflate the balloons (you can use regular air) in huge quantities. Immediately stock up on a pump - you simply don’t have enough strength to inflate so many balloons.
There should be so many balls that they fall on the person who opens the door to the room - that is, from floor to ceiling. The surprise is, of course, labor-intensive, but effective!
Well, the second option: an avalanche. It is suitable for rooms with high ceilings. We fix a wide net under the ceiling and fill this “hammock” with inflated (air!) balloons. At the right moment, one of the guests tears off the net, and the balls fall on the guests like an avalanche.
