The Kazan Family Center is the main registry office of Tatarstan and a wonderful observation deck

Today we will talk about a very unusual building in which couples in love find their happiness - this is in Kazan.

The unusualness of this building is that, combining the traditions of national and the most modern architecture, it has the shape of a huge cauldron, a traditional Asian cast metal cauldron with a semicircular bottom for preparing various dishes.

This extraordinary building, which now houses the central Wedding Palace “Chalice”, as it is also called, was built relatively recently: in July 2013.

In addition to its original appearance, the timing of its construction is also striking. After all, it was built in exactly 500 days. And immediately, on the opening day, 27 young married couples were registered here.

History of construction and architectural features

was erected in 2012-2013 according to the original design of the architect and sculptor from Buryatia Dashi Balzhanovich Namdakov. The site for the new city registry office was an embankment site on a round peninsula. Construction took exactly 500 days.

The miracle building looks like a huge Asian cast cauldron above a high arched tagan. From time immemorial, such cauldrons have been used for preparing various dishes in all countries of Central Asia. According to the architect, the unusual building symbolizes the respectful attitude of the Tatar people to family and family values.

The Kazan center is very beautiful in the dark, when the bright evening lights turn on. Powerful spotlights illuminate the picturesque “cauldron” in different colors, creating the illusion that flames are burning under the cauldron. Spectacular lighting can be seen from different parts of Kazan.

Interior

The new wedding palace was officially named the Family Center, but among the people this building got its own name - “The Bowl”. This is due to the fact that the Palace was built in the form of traditional Tatar dishes - a cauldron. By the way, this shape was chosen for a reason, because the cauldron symbolizes prosperity in the house.

The appearance of each ceremonial hall of the family center is reproduced in different styles and personifies different eras: classicism, the Kazan Khanate and the times of Volga Bulgaria.

The palace has several halls for ceremonial registration.

Golden Hall

The hall is designed in a modern style, in a color scheme corresponding to its name. From the windows you can enjoy views of the Kremlin and the Kazanka River. The capacity of this hall is 30-35 people.

Silver Hall
