“We want a celebration not like everyone else”, “We want a unique wedding just about us” - such requests are heard quite often at the TOBELOVE agency. Couples who have a clear vision of their dream wedding are rare. Most often, lovers do not know what they want.
The agency team admits: before starting to develop the ideal event, it is important to understand the main “pain” of the client. Using three stories as an example, Alexander Belov, founder and artistic director of TOBELOVE, told how he and his team solve clients’ problems and create unique weddings.
“Dawn comes at midnight”: a bride’s wildest dream come true
Pair request
Daniel and Kira imagined their ideal wedding to be fun and a little ironic. TOBELOVE had a question: how to “marry” unusual elements that contradict generally accepted wedding canons? The couple has a passion for abandoned places and cemeteries - everything that scares others. Is there a place for such a dark aesthetic at a wedding?
Problem
The parents imagined the wedding in a classical light, but at the thought of the traditional white dress, Kira’s tears welled up. The bride saw herself in a different image, but did not want to upset her family.
Solution
On the “Dawn Comes at Midnight” project, the TOBELOVE agency team made the bride’s dream come true - they created a wedding dress from black rooster feathers. Yes, guests of the older generation might not understand such an image, but this is how Kira was herself at the wedding. During the ceremony, the bride changed her white dress to a black one - it turned out to be a real performance.

Problem
The main fear of the bride and groom is a pretentious celebration that smacks of officialdom and amateur performance. The groom admitted: if you invest money in a wedding, then only in the wedding of your dreams. Yulia and Sasha wanted to feel the full depth of the moment of the ceremony, and were afraid that the wedding would turn into a theatrical performance with artists, in which there was no place for real feelings.
Solution
Painting and music occupy a special place in the lives of Sasha and Yulia. Therefore, the leitmotif of the wedding celebration is not accidental - the idea of life as a white canvas on which two loving people paint pictures of their common world. The pier with moored boats is like a road to a new life. A white piano sailboat is a symbol of a wedding.

“On the Edge of Eternity”: a wedding in one of the most beautiful corners of the planet

A wedding on the edge of the earth, in a place of power - Anya and Misha came with this request. They wanted to give themselves and their guests a bright experience without overloading the celebration with large-scale decorations.
Problem
There is no ideal site in Moscow with a landscape that will take your breath away. But the bride and groom found such a place in Cape Town. They booked a Gothic castle, bought a classic white dress and planned to hold the ceremony at the Cape of Good Hope. But how can you combine all this together to make the wedding harmonious and full of meaning?
Solution
At this unique celebration there were three ceremonies at once, connected by a single logic and common meanings. Guests were able to see all the diversity of Africa, and lovers were able to fill their wedding day with different genre and cultural features. The first sacred ceremony took place at the Cape of Good Hope. It was held at dawn with the participation of both mothers of the bride and groom.
The official ceremony was organized on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. It took place to the sounds of thirty African drums, and the decor was colorful flags. It all ended with a sacrament at Lichtenstein Castle, where the couple was accompanied by dark-skinned torchbearers.
