It would seem that it makes no difference where to register the relationship - in the spouse’s homeland or in your own country.

But it turns out that there is a difference, and a significant one.

A wedding taking place according to religious laws - in a church, temple, mosque, synagogue - does not make the union official, that is, not legally documented in any way; only a civil registration gives the rights inherent in spouses, including property rights.

In Russian federation

Legislation represented by clause 2 of Art. 156 of the RF IC states that for each person entering into marriage on the territory of the Russian Federation, the laws of the country of which this person is a citizen are applied, but only regarding consent to a union, marriageable age, restrictions, but not religious affiliation. This legislative act indicates that if one of the future family has Russian citizenship, then all laws of the Russian Federation are applicable to this spouse, and if the other half is represented, for example, by German citizenship, then legal norms can be applied to this candidate spouse German legislation only.

Marriage in a Muslim state does not require any registration; this procedure

simple and straightforward: an offer is made, which is accepted or rejected. A marriage contract is concluded by a man with each of his spouses separately. The rights in such a family, as well as the responsibilities, are completely different for the husband and his wives.

Property rights are recognized for representatives of a couple only separately for each.

In a Muslim country, marriage must go through the procedure according to the laws of this state - according to Muslim custom, otherwise the union will not be recognized. A citizen of the Russian Federation (of any religion) must ensure that upon returning to their homeland the union is also legal, so they should contact the Russian consulate in the territory of a Muslim country and appear at reception hours together with their other half, with documents. It is necessary for the union to be registered, which will be issued a document after being recorded in a special book.

Fashionable styles

The trend of the last 6-8 years has been attempts to combine European dresses with Muslim traditions. Muslim wedding dresses are mainly sewn in two styles: A-shaped silhouette and fishtail.

The advantages of the first option are that the product is fully suitable for religious traditions: there are no open areas, as well as unnecessary emphasizing of female charms. The problem of originality is solved in several ways:

• Multilayer skirt. Layers of lighter transparent fabrics are added to the opaque base. The flaps either go in a circle, or there remains a triangular area without them in the front of the skirt.
• Corset with embroidery. They practice floral and geometric patterns with silk (white, cream, light yellow), beads, and stones. The principle “the more glitter, the better” does not apply here, because it does not go with the girl’s modesty. The patterns are conceptual in nature and have a minimalist solution.
• Wide sleeves. Guipure extensions are added to thick fabric sleeves. Together with a wide skirt, this option looks quite natural and festive.
• Hijab decoration. The obligatory scarf, made in the same color as the dress, is additionally decorated with elements of a veil, precious stones, lace, but also without frills.
• Long train. Since the skirt of a wedding dress is floor-length, the train is considered an interesting addition that does not go beyond the scope of the image.

The silhouette of the fish has not quite the usual outlines, since the dress should not be tight-fitting under any circumstances. The product is slightly tapered at the waist, but the skirt does not fit tightly around the buttocks. The fish is usually complemented with a silver or golden belt, embroidered with stones and beads.

Some fashionistas decide to experiment beyond the boundaries of what is permitted, for example, a fish tightly fits around the waist or long sleeves made of transparent fabric cover their arms. A girl whose wedding is being held behind closed doors (separately women and men) or with a predominantly non-Muslim crowd of guests can take liberties.

Color solutions

It is worth noting that the severity of the styles is compensated by the variety of colors. The bride is allowed to choose beautiful Muslim clothes in white, cream, soft pink, and pale blue. Tradition does not prohibit any colors, just the dress should not be flashy or vulgar. But there are brides who decide to wear red dresses with gold embroidery, styled like a traditional costume.

Existing approaches to using shades in a wedding dress are combined as follows:

• without gradient formulas;
• dress and hijab are the same color;
• decor is possible, but in a discreet form, preferably 2-4 tones darker than the dress or in a silver or gold version.

European brides cannot boast of such a bold color approach to clothing as Muslim women. European cultural traditions emphasize shapes rather than colors.

Fabrics

To sew women's Islamic dresses, natural materials with a dense, opaque and non-stretchy texture are used.

Cotton

The fabric, based on plant-based cotton fiber, is pleasant to the body and has breathable properties, so it is ideal for a closed long Islamic dress.

Wool

Dense but soft wool has a warming effect and is often used to create Muslim clothing for cold seasons.
