And then the competitions continue again. The host of the competition hands out a lottery to the participants, where the winner will be one of the guests, who will receive a bottle of wine and a hint where the treasure is as a gift. The toastmaster calls the lottery number.

The toastmaster will invite the bride and groom to find this box. But to open it, you need a key. The mother of the bride or groom must have the key. The toastmaster gives clues, after which it turns out that one of the mothers has the key. Mothers must also be tested in turn.

In addition to competitions, guests periodically make toasts at the table with wishes for the newlyweds, listen to music, and dance.
As always, at the end of the celebration it comes to the cake. The host holds an auction for the sale of three pieces of cake. For the first three sweet tooths. They are motivated to buy sweets with personalized banknotes from the bride and groom. The host distributes family money to the guests as a souvenir of the wedding.

I’ll summarize the points above, which I compiled to describe the wedding quest:

Any room and location. Separate cabinets, the dimensions of which do not exceed 1.5×0.6×0.6 meters.
Customization for the customer. Two tasks are created specifically for the couple (“Memories” and “Final Stand”) using their photos and things.
Wedding theme. The main materials chosen were chipboard, plexiglass and flock, decorated in wedding colors. All tasks are related to the wedding theme, and the quest ends with the ransom of the bride, shoes, and bouquet.
The duration of the quest is 15−20 minutes. We settled on eight problems, the total duration of the passage was 20 minutes.
Integration into any part of the wedding scenario. A final glass domed vanity that can accommodate any item is suitable for any part of the wedding.
Visual and sound effects. Dynamic lighting and sound effects are built into the top of the cabinets.
Targeted at inebriated audiences. The cabinets are shock-resistant. So far there have been no breakdowns. All tasks are simple.
For all participants. Using the remote control, the presenter can regulate the time for completing the task and help the participants in case of a hitch.

We tried to bring this project to an ideal state so that every element would fully satisfy us. I have always considered the feeling when you are proud of every centimeter of a created product to be an indicator of quality. And this quest, although it requires some work, still meets my strict requirements.

The kidnappers' conditions are simple. The groom and wedding guests will have to find the keys to the bride’s house or apartment and get into the room and free her.
The assignments are handed over by the kidnappers in envelopes; you can also send them via Viber or Telegram.
Guests and the groom will look for clue after clue along the way to the bride's house. To do this, you will have to look for pre-prepared witnesses to the abduction, who will give tips on where they last crossed paths with the bride.
They will have to go to the nearest supermarket, where the security guard will tell you the last time he met the groom's beloved and what she bought. The product she chose, for example, will be the key to the puzzle. The security guard in this case said that the bride bought a bun.
The next task is to go to the store and buy a bun from a familiar seller; for example, there will be a key to the bride’s house.
Hints will occasionally be sent to the groom's team on their smartphones. Where he will see her photo near her place of residence. And when the guests go there, they will find another clue on how to find a bride.
The presenter will also give hints, and at the same time ask puzzles, for example, the groom will have to remember when he met his beloved, what her favorite color is and what flowers she likes, what films they watched together on a date last time.

IMPORTANT : You will have to go through a number of tasks, for example, in the storage room guests can find a hint (map) where to go to find the next puzzle. Finally, after all the trials, loved ones will meet and the joyful celebration can continue.

Arriving in Moscow, I started inventing puzzles and designing quest elements. It all started with sketches in a notebook. As you can see, I'm not much of an artist:

Next, for a general understanding of the concept, I designed everything in SketchUp - a simple 3D modeling program. This was enough to start drawing elements, selecting materials and preparing for production.

This is how I imagined the ransom quest that I would like to see at my wedding. Then the most interesting, complex, lengthy and nerve-wracking thing began - production.

We solved the problem of mobility and transfer of cabinets with removable tops; for this, all the lower parts of the cabinets were made the same size:

The bottom parts came out great the first time, all that was left was to decorate them. We succeeded only the second time. Everything was done at the last moment, we sculpted the patterns the day before the photo shoot and had to cut them in a hurry.

The development of the upper parts and other elements of the quest was progressing. I will only describe a few, because not everyone has detailed photos. “Kassa” is beautiful with its inner electronic world and outer velvet shell.

This is how I was delivered radio remote controls, which are designed to control the quest at a distance of up to 20 meters, if suddenly something goes wrong and the player cannot solve some problem:

The process lasted almost four months with a break for the winter holidays.

It’s better for the rest of the guests to do something else, it will be tiring for them and for you. Therefore, while the young couple is taking photos, guests from the wedding can go through the wedding quest and have some fun at the same time. But first, this event should be considered.

It is not necessary to come up with complex competitions and puzzles for quests. Sometimes it is enough to simply divide all the guests into teams. Those who are savvy will be the first to get to the wedding venue. There will be a prize waiting for the winners. It would be great if it was a bottle of cognac or wine with the brand of the manufacturer of the new family. You can also give sweets and souvenirs to your guests.

Even if you have prepared an interesting scenario, it is impossible to carry it out without pre-prepared props, which will be:

Themed costumes;
Maps of the city or area where the quest will take place;
Paper on which the route or directional signs are indicated;

A small buffet for guests or a sweet treat.
