The perfect beach party - wedding ceremony in Vietnam: decoration and traditions

Vietnam is a country of traditions. Many significant events in the life of the Vietnamese today retain the features of ancient rituals. The Vietnamese hinterland is made up of numerous small peoples who have quite a significant difference in traditions. But city residents adhere to the same rules throughout the country. Family in this country is the basis; people do not get married in order to separate after a couple of years. Divorce in Vietnam is rare. That’s why the wedding is celebrated on a grand scale, so that there is something to remember and tell to the grandchildren.

Traditions and customs of wedding ceremonies in Vietnam

Today's Vietnamese wedding ceremony is different from what it was in the past.
However, many traditions and customs remain unchanged. Wedding preparations take a long time and are expensive.

If earlier the marriage of young people was most often a decision of parents and relatives, now young people choose their life partners themselves.

A woman in Vietnam can get married at the age of 18, and a man 20.

The marriage process in Vietnam traditionally includes two main ceremonies: the engagement (Lean Hoi) and the wedding itself (Le Quoi).

The engagement takes place long before the wedding. The groom and his relatives come to the bride's home. Various gifts are presented, including symbolic ones.

An important gift is the presentation of areca nuts and betel leaves - the main symbol of a wedding in Vietnam.

On the day of the engagement, issues of holding the wedding celebration are discussed, and the wedding date is chosen.

The ceremony site is decorated with numerous floral arrangements: arches, wreaths, petals.

During the wedding event, the bride changes several outfits.

The traditional dress of the bride is considered to be Ao Dai, a national festive costume. It consists of wide silk pants and a dress with long slits on the sides. The bride's Ao Dai should be made of silk, embroidered with gold threads and decorated with precious stones.

The wedding begins with the presentation of expensive gifts. Then the newlyweds light scented candles and rings are exchanged.

After the ceremony in the house, the newlyweds head to the temple. A wedding ceremony in this country can last up to several days, while the wedding itself takes about 30 minutes and is held in a Buddhist temple.

Sea, free arch and outdoor barbecue

We told all our friends that we would have a wedding in Cyprus, and offered to come with us: relax at the seaside and celebrate at the same time. As a result, we had a group of eight people: our closest friends and my sister. Everyone came at their own expense and paid for the Airbnb apartment together. We paid for our friend, one of the best wedding photographers in Tomsk, to stay - she came for a couple of days.

We made all our purchases gradually, so we didn’t have to save much. About four months before the wedding, we bought tickets, this was the biggest expense item: about 60,000 rubles for two for flights Tomsk - Moscow, Moscow - Larnaca and back. Then we chipped in with friends for an apartment: 10 days cost 83,000 rubles.

A jeweler in Tomsk made our silver rings: mine cost 4,000 rubles, Lenino’s – 3,000. My shirt and bride’s dress were ordered from Asos. In Cyprus you don’t need expensive clothes: there is heat, sun, sea, salt. But during the photo shoot, we climbed the mountains and were not afraid to lie on the ground, and in the evening we swam in the sea in our clothes, because they were cheap and we didn’t mind them.

As a result, we only needed money for the gala dinner and the vacation itself.

It took a maximum of two days to prepare for the wedding. In Tomsk, we took a certificate of absence of marriage, translated it and our birth certificates into English and certified it by a notary. We also paid the registration fee in advance - about 300 euros.

There is an agreement between Russia and Cyprus according to which marriages concluded in Cyprus are also recognized in our country; this does not even require an apostille - a seal thanks to which documents from one country are considered valid in another. But in Tomsk, as it turned out, few people know about this. They sorted it out at the passport office quite quickly, and when Lena decided to change her last name a couple of months after the wedding, she was told that the certificate was invalid and she needed to go back to Cyprus to get an apostille. I went online, downloaded all the necessary documents and showed why no additional stamps were needed. Everything ended well, the passport was changed. I think such cases rarely happen in our country and people simply do not know what to do in such situations.

The ceremony took place in the city of Sotira, near Ayia Napa. It was cozy, very beautiful and not many tourists: the registry office of Ayia Napa is probably located next to some club.

We were looking for a place for the ceremony, and then we came to the registry office to hand over the documents and find out how everything would go. A very pleasant receptionist, a real Greek, took us into the courtyard: there was a stunningly beautiful wooden arch overgrown with flowers. And we realized that there is no need to worry, you can sign right here.

My sister does make-up; she did Lena’s make-up; another friend of ours, a hairdresser, was in charge of her hair. There was only one flower shop in Ayia Napa, and we bought everything there that looked decent. They picked something right there from the trees and cacti, and our photographer put it together into a bouquet: she is well versed in flower arrangements, so it turned out very beautiful.

After registration, we had lunch together in a cafe, then our friends went home, and we took pictures on the coast. We decided not to go to the restaurant in the evening: our apartment had a huge open-air terrace, there was also a grill there, we could play our own music, no one would bother us. We collected fish, meat, drinks for about 200 euros, and prepared everything ourselves. At that time, we had already been in Cyprus for several days, we were all relaxing at the sea, and then there was some kind of shake-up, movement, everyone was having fun. We ate too much and had a great time.

The main disadvantage of a wedding abroad is that not all relatives and friends can come. Therefore, six months later we organized a party for our loved ones and called it “Non-Wedding”. It was a buffet with music and entertainment, there was nothing particularly wedding-y about it. But all our relatives were there, even my grandparents, who usually do not leave the village.

If we celebrated a wedding for 250,000 rubles in Tomsk, it would be held in a bad place, we would have to save on everything: there would be more guests, which means the food would not be so tasty and refined, the drinks would not be of such quality and even the photographer would be the same to yourself. And most importantly, there wouldn’t be such beauty around.

Cost of a wedding in Vietnam in 2022: Nha Trang and Mui Ne

Prices for marriage in Vietnam are noticeably lower than in other tropical countries. The cost of a symbolic ceremony will cost the newlyweds 30,000 rubles, and in some places even cheaper. The average price will be approximately 40,000-50,000 rubles.

This price will include:

  • wedding venue rental;
  • transfer from the hotel to the place and back;
  • bride's bouquet and groom's boutonniere;
  • champagne and two wedding glasses for the newlyweds;
  • symbolic certificate of the ceremony in Vietnam;
  • photo session and 80-120 finished photographs;
  • Russian master of ceremonies;
  • musical accompaniment;
  • sand ceremony.

Additionally you can order:

  • bride's hair and makeup;
  • a wedding cake;
  • videographer;
  • rental of national costumes for a ceremony in a Buddhist temple;
  • dinner for two after the ceremony;
  • live music;
  • additional decor of the ceremony venue.

The price usually does not include:

  • round trip tickets;
  • hotel accommodation;
  • wedding rings;
  • wedding dresses of the bride and groom.

In addition to rings, the bride needs to think through her wedding look in advance, not forgetting about other jewelry

It is important that everything fits together harmoniously. For example, a gold bracelet with cubic zirconia will be a great addition to almost any look:

A wedding photo shoot will cost the newlyweds less than the wedding ceremony, approximately 3,000-6,000 rubles. It includes an hour of work by the photographer and processed photographs from 20 to 80 pieces, depending on the artist.

In addition to the photo shoot, you can order makeup and hairstyle for the bride, a bouquet and wreath, additional shooting time, an additional number of ready-made photographs, and transfer to the photo shoot location.

Weddings in Vietnam are increasingly popular among young couples who want something more from the ceremony than the standard wedding ceremony and banquet after it. Even though the newlyweds will have to get married at home, Vietnam can be a great place for them for a honeymoon and a symbolic ceremony or photo shoot on the beach.

How much will it all cost?

There is a common myth that a wedding abroad costs much more than at home. This certainly does not apply to Asian countries.

In this region, prices for services and goods are much lower than ours, and on-site registration will not cost as much. It all depends on the agent package you choose.

A beach ceremony has a different set of services, but always includes the following things: a decorated arch, a bride's bouquet of fresh flowers, photographer services, a symbolic certificate. This option will cost only $350.

If the services of the host of the event, a buffet with champagne and fruit, transfer and additional decorations are added, the cost will increase to $500. If you want to have a truly luxurious celebration, it will cost $1,400. It will include the following services:

  • wedding procession;
  • video and photo shooting;
  • bride's hair and makeup;
  • arch and other decoration;
  • bride's bouquet and groom's boutonniere;
  • sand ceremony and flower shower;
  • musical accompaniment and presenter;
  • buffet with champagne, fruit and cake.

Separately, you can order additional services, for example, a trip to the temple, elephant riding and a photo session in the park. Any holiday can be completed with a trip to a banquet in a restaurant. All this needs to be discussed with the agency in advance, before leaving the country, at least 10 days before the event.

How to organize a wedding in Israel

Period. The most successful time for weddings in Israel is considered to be the period from March to May or from mid-September to the 15th of November. When European countries do not indulge in weather, in Russia it is completely cold, Israel attracts newlyweds with warm and comfortable weather. This period is sunny, the temperature is 15-25 degrees, there are few tourists. The flight from Moscow to Tel Aviv takes only three hours

This is important if young people plan to invite older people or couples with children to their wedding.

Language. Israel is considered the most Russian-speaking country, besides Russia and the CIS countries. About 2 million Russians live here. If the newlyweds wish, all contractors invited to the wedding can be Russian-speaking, and there will be no problems with communication

To travel to Israel you do not need a visa, but you need to go through customs carefully, treat this process carefully

Day of the week. The Israeli working week is different from the Russian one. Their weekend starts on Friday, and Sunday is a working day. Most shops and restaurants are closed on Fridays and Saturdays, so newlyweds should not plan a wedding on these days. The best day will be Sunday. For us, this is a day off, so guests won’t have to take special time off from work, but in Israel it’s a weekday, which means all establishments will be open.

Place. At Russian weddings, the mood is set by the host; at modern Jewish holidays, musicians and a DJ set the mood. Music is considered an integral part of marriage in Israel. Don’t skimp and hire a group of musicians for the holiday, then not a single guest will resist dancing. Since Eastern weddings in Israel are large, there are usually more than 300 guests. If the newlyweds are planning to have a modest celebration, it may be difficult to find a small venue. But still, they exist – it’s worth looking among hotels and restaurants.

Decor. There are many talented designers in Israel, thanks to whom you can realize any of your ideas when decorating a celebration. Florists will create a beautiful bouquet for the bride by choosing the appropriate variety from the wide variety of flowers growing in the country. There are almost no restrictions in wedding design and decor. The newlyweds can create a beautiful flower arch or decoration especially for the ceremony. A traditional Jewish wedding is held under a chuppah - a canopy. At your request, any wedding restaurant or hotel will provide this decorative detail free of charge.

Official wedding

Modern Israel offers several ways to formalize marital relations:

  • Church marriage. Held among Christians of any denomination, subject to registration, marriage is recognized by Israel and other countries of the world.
  • Rabbit wedding. It is exclusively for Jews.
  • Consular wedding. It takes place among Israelis and visitors who have citizenship of a country, according to the laws of which “native” consuls have the right to register marriages between compatriots in Israel. This type of marriage is problematic because it entails lengthy bureaucratic delays, and registration can take many months.
  • Wedding with travel abroad. Suitable not only for Jews, but also for mixed couples. Recognized in all countries, it is most popular among foreign citizens.

In all forms of Israeli marriage, the signing of a wedding contract is recommended. This can help when the marriage is recognized by the country's immigration authorities or during its dissolution. If one party is an Israeli citizen and the other is not, you should consult with an attorney specializing in immigration and administrative law in advance. This will avoid deportation.

Symbolic wedding

Such a wedding in Israel on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea is a wonderful start to family life. The vows of love and fidelity you make in the Holy Land will bless your union and seal your hearts forever. Such a ceremony would be an ideal solution for young couples who recently got married but did not properly celebrate their wedding. The symbolic holiday is also suitable for those who have lived together for a long time and want to commemorate their wedding anniversary.

Photo for memory

Vietnam is a country with exotic landscapes and wide beaches. It is chosen by hundreds of newlyweds to celebrate their wedding under palm trees. Reasonable prices for services allow all the most cherished dreams of a couple in love to come true. The resorts have many cafes and restaurants where you can continue the celebration.

You need to decide on the choice of location in advance, since the nature in the country is very diverse, and you simply physically will not have time to go to a photo session to see all the beauties of Vietnam.

Why Vietnam?

In fact, there are quite a lot of offers to hold a wedding ceremony and honeymoon somewhere abroad. Scrolling through the Internet, those planning to get married will find ceremony services in Italy, France, the Czech Republic, Cyprus, and Thailand. Why Vietnam then? Let us list the advantages of a wedding ceremony in this country:

  • Year-round: Vietnam is popular among tourists because it can be visited in any month of the year, including holding a wedding there;
  • Affordability: the cost of a wedding ceremony in Vietnam starts at $690 (for comparison, a wedding in Italy costs at least $1,400);
  • The sea is space, romance and... ample opportunities for holding a spectacular ceremony right on the beach, surrounded by rocks and beautiful landscapes.

Wedding travel agencies have long honed the art of turning the main celebration of a new family into a memorable and unusual event. After all, the hackneyed program “Registration office, a walk with guests to places of military glory and a gala dinner in a restaurant” will no longer surprise anyone. Yes, and I want something special that others didn’t have. After all, this DAY will forever be included in the BOOK called “THE HISTORY OF OUR FAMILY” as the first item.

Vietnam is an exotic corner of the earth where touching and naivety still live. With “age” this country becomes only more beautiful, as Princess Love should be! Wild sandy beaches, secluded bays where people hardly visit, endless views of the sea with islands and fishermen’s boats swaying far, far away. All these pictures of wildlife and real life cannot help but touch the heart!

What kind of wedding would you like? At a majestic waterfall? At the temple of an ancient civilization? In a palm grove? Any whim will be fulfilled by the wedding organizers, because this is their life’s work, and they value the time and desires of their clients. Moreover, to carry out the ceremony, the wedding agency will assign a coordinator - a professional who will offer already prepared options for the event or, together with clients, will come up with an original project.

Which country to choose

Where abroad is the best service, atmosphere and other important components?

We took the risk of compiling a list of the five most suitable countries for your purpose:

  1. Bali. Forget about the tight and awkward wedding dress.
    • Snow-white pareo,
    • chocolate tan,

  2. flower wreaths,
  3. calm beach.
  4. These are the memories you will bring back from Bali.

    An incomplete list of places where you can celebrate a significant event looks like this:

  • wild beach,
  • coast of Lake Bratan,
  • temple of goddess Devi.

The ceremony in Bali is very unique:

  • newlyweds are crowned;
  • sprinkled with flowers;
  • they issue a lontar - a letter confirming the fact of the wedding in the island language.

The ceremony is performed by a priest.

  • Sri Lanka. This island state is known to many as the island of Ceylon. There are plenty of interesting places here:
    • beautiful beaches,
    • ancient Buddhist shrines,

  • national parks and reserves.
  • The ceremony is held on a platform covered with palm leaves.

  • Dominican Republic The first associations that arise when mentioning the Dominican Republic are associated with palm beaches:
    • Bavaro,
    • Punta Cana,

  • Puerta Plata.
  • You find yourself in the heart of the Caribbean region, considered a paradise for newlyweds.

    Most local hotels provide ceremonial services to those who decide to tie the knot in this country.

  • Cuba. Kindness and smiling character are inherent in all residents of Cuba. The revolutionary island has been developing the tourism industry for a long time and has been fairly successful in this. It is especially pleasant to hold a wedding ceremony and arrange a honeymoon on:
    • the crooked streets of Havana;
    • beautiful embankments;

  • Ernest Hemingway's house;
  • national parks and reserves.
  • The Cuban atmosphere promotes relaxation and a cheerful mood. Soon it will seem to you that even the shopkeeper on the nearest corner is your old friend with whom you can discuss the latest movies or cigar prices.

  • Spain. Spanish beaches are some of the best in Europe. In addition, the country has plenty of unique attractions. A marriage concluded under the hot Spanish sky is very easy to legalize on the territory of the Russian Federation - an ordinary translation certified by a notary is enough. True, you will have to take care of collecting documents in advance - the Spanish authorities must be warned about the planned ceremony 2-4 months in advance.
  • Ideal place

    It’s amazing that the ideal place for a wedding does exist.

    Greece is the best place for a wedding.

    According to long-term surveys, Greece leads in this regard:

    • cradle of myths;
    • starting point of European history;
    • home of philosophers, conquerors and wine.

    Greek beaches are incredibly clean, the service here is of European quality, the sunsets are breathtaking, and the climate is ideal for a resident of the middle zone.

    You can find more information on the topic in the Wedding Abroad section.

    Images of newlyweds

    The main rule in choosing clothes for the bride and groom is lightness and simplicity. But this doesn’t mean you can’t show off your creativity by adding accessories and color accents.

    What you should pay attention to:

    • Floral decorations are perfect for a beach ceremony. A boutonniere, hairpins or bracelet can be made from fresh and artificial flowers.
    • A barefoot wedding is perfect for you if you're celebrating on the sand.
    • A white dress with a loose, flowing skirt looks best on a seaside bride.
    • Another option for a bride’s outfit is the national Vietnamese costume. It is sewn from silk, mainly red in color, with golden patterns added. In this form it is better to go to the temple.
    • There is also a version of the men's costume in the national style if you want to respect traditions and receive blessings from the monks.
    • Take care of sunscreen that will save your skin from burns and redness. And you'll look great in photos.
    • If the bride does not want to take her wedding dress with her to the resort, then she can get by with a regular light-colored sundress. Patterns with flowers and lace will complement it perfectly.
    • The bride should not wear much makeup, because all the makeup will simply run during the heat. Stick to an even tone for your face, highlight your eyes a little, and add some lipstick.
    • It is better for the groom to buy shorts of one color, for example, white, brown or blue. Light-colored jeans are also suitable. Upstairs, invest in loose, light-colored shirts made from lightweight fabric. Suspenders and a bow tie can complement the groom's look.
    • A good option for a newlywed is a nautical-style suit. It consists of blue or light blue pants and a white shirt, possibly with a jacket. If your photo session takes place close to the sea, then let your betrothed roll up his pants to the ankle.
    • It is better for a girl to have the simplest hairstyle: loose hair, curls and small weaves.

    Who is involved in creating a wedding?

    The team of wedding organizers includes several masters:

    • curator - prepares for the wedding and coordinates all stages of preparation for it with the bride and groom;
    • make-up artist - this “sculptor” of the face, using modern cosmetics, will create an irresistible image of the bride and groom;
    • a hairdresser or someone who knows everything about hair will complete the newlyweds’ looks with beautiful and stylish hairstyles;
    • florist - master of creating wedding bouquets from beautiful Vietnamese flowers;
    • the decorator will develop the design of the wedding area in accordance with the style and preferences of a particular young couple;
    • wedding photographer - will take photographs throughout the wedding ceremony.

    The entire event takes place according to a specific plan: the wedding procedure, the oath of Fidelity and Love in the presence of witnesses, the signature of the newlyweds. The stages of the ceremony depend on the location, of which there are a great many: sand dunes, a sailing junk, a Buddhist temple. The newlyweds will be showered with flower petals and toasted to their health. High-quality champagne is served in a beautifully decorated bottle along with a wedding cake and juicy Vietnamese fruits. The ritual is conducted by an experienced leader and is accompanied by solemn wedding music.

    Photoshoot

    A Vietnamese wedding is an expensive affair. It will then pay for itself with gifts from guests, but you will have to invest a lot in it. Another tradition, but quite modern, is a pre-wedding photo shoot in the style of a Love story. About a month before the wedding, the bride and groom go to the most beautiful places in the country to take memorable photographs there. Moreover, the geography is the most extensive. Ha Long Bay, Dak Lak, Dalat, Hoi An, Saigon, Mekong Delta... You can’t list everything. Dalat is especially popular. That’s why it’s called the city of love, because all future newlyweds go there.

    How is a wedding in Vietnam?
    The Vietnamese spend a lot of money on photographers and camera operators and expensive equipment. I will judge their level of income by the quality, quantity and variety of photographs. After all, displaying these photographs is a mandatory ritual at a formal wedding banquet.

    Where can you have your ceremony in Vietnam?

    The most popular place is considered to be the city of Nha Trang, one of the most popular resorts in the republic. Luxurious hotels, quiet beaches, noisy discos - this city combines a lot.

    The second most popular place is Mui Ne, also a resort city in Vietnam. A variety of seafood, a warm climate almost all year round and affordable prices make this place a paradise for tourism. Including wedding.

    However, opinions differ here. Some consider this place more suitable for water activities such as surfing or kitesurfing. But agencies nevertheless hold symbolic ceremonies in Mui Ne. But you need to be prepared for the fact that it can be very windy there for a celebration on the beach. But there are always a lot of Russian tourists there, and most of the local population speaks Russian tolerably well.

    Next door to Mui Ne is Phan Thiet, a port resort town that owes its popularity precisely to its proximity to Mui Ne. Wedding ceremonies are also held there.

    For a quieter and more relaxing holiday, people go to Phuket Island, where you can also have a symbolic wedding. But the island's popularity is falling compared to cities. The reason for this may be the increase in prices for literally everything, so newlyweds prefer cheaper and more accessible places.

    For an individual price, you can negotiate with the agency and choose a secluded place for the ceremony, away from prying eyes.

    The symbolic ceremony can be held on the beach or in a hotel. The agency will offer young people a complete package.

    How much does a wedding ceremony cost in Italy?

    The approach to organizing wedding ceremonies, as in the entire part of Western Europe, in Italy is somewhat different from that accepted in Russia. Our norm is considered to be markup on services ranging from 100 to 300%. In Italy, wedding coordinators try to choose the best option for each couple, and payment for their services is about 10% of the wedding budget. This approach is more economical.

    A minimum list of what a couple will need to take care of in advance when planning an Italian wedding:

    • Decide on the city and location for the ceremony.
    • Hire a wedding coordinator (you cannot do without a person who is well versed in this industry in Italy).
    • Prepare the necessary documents, including a visa.
    • Reserve a restaurant for your wedding reception.
    • Hire a stylist, buy a dress in Italy or bring it with you from Russia.
    • Find good video and photo operators.
    • Take care of transfers (from the airport to the hotel, and then to the wedding ceremony venue).
    • Find a suitable hotel and book rooms.
    • Buy tickets to Italy and back.
    • Order a bouquet for the bride.

    Professional services costs will be allocated approximately as follows:

    • Wedding coordinator: 1/10 of the celebration budget.
    • Photographer and video: from 800 to 2500 euros.
    • Stylist: 300-400 euros.
    • Restaurant: 100-200 euros.
    • Hotel: 100-500 euros per night per person.
    • Floristry: about 200 euros.

    It is impossible to say exactly how much an Italian wedding ceremony will cost. There is always a chance to find cheaper options. Remember, a wedding is a holiday on which you cannot save too much, especially if it takes place in beautiful Italy. Professional services will never be cheap, and the memory of your wedding day is priceless. There are two options for holding a celebration: an official or symbolic ceremony. The second option is less expensive not only in terms of money, but also time.

    Prices for a symbolic ceremony

    To organize a symbolic wedding, the organizer must find a suitable place and a person who can conduct it. A symbolic ceremony in Italy is carried out upon presentation of a marriage certificate. The cost of the celebration will depend on certain circumstances, since there are no fixed tariffs for many places in Italy. The minimum price for a wedding ceremony is 200 euros.

    Cost of the official ceremony

    Couples can have a formal wedding ceremony anywhere in Italy as long as it is municipal property. For example, on the territory of theaters, libraries, some private estates and abbeys. Therefore, the price can vary greatly, starting from 0 to five-digit amounts. The most expensive ceremonies are considered to be in tourist cities like Venice or Rome. For example, a wedding at the Cavalli Palace on a weekday costs about 2 thousand euros.

    Not all popular places in Italy are so expensive. On the island of Capri, for example, a wedding will cost much less. Domestic tour operators offer couples in love to purchase wedding packages starting from 2.5 thousand euros. The upper limit remains unlimited. For a minimum set of services in the most popular places in Italy, newlyweds will have to pay from 3 thousand euros.

    Matchmaking or An Hoi

    In the good old days, young people could not even dream that they would be allowed to choose their own groom or bride. This was a strategic issue that sometimes connected not only two families, but also tribal communities. Today everything is simpler. What can you do, the influence of the West. But the matchmaking or engagement ceremony remained almost the same.

    Vietnamese wedding

    In our country this is called sending matchmakers, and in Vietnam it is An Hoi bride price. A few months before the wedding, the groom's father and relatives go to the bride's house to ask her parents for her hand in marriage. They don't just go there. Men put on the masculine Ao Zai, the national dress, and carry gifts. On large platters covered with red cloth are lacquered boxes containing gifts. They are purely symbolic and symbolic - betel leaves and a small tree - the areca palm. The boxes contain treats - rice cake, roasted pig, cake, special tea, fruit baskets and the main gift - Ao Zai for the bride. The dress is placed on a separate tray, and underneath is money and gold. This is a bride price. If the marriage proposal is accepted, a discussion of organizational issues begins.

    After the wedding

    The next day, the newlyweds visit the bride’s parents, and mutual visits continue for several more days. By tradition, they are still considered wedding. In fact, modern youth do not have time to stretch out the ceremony over several days - they work, and time is money. Although, many still adhere to tradition.

    After getting married in Vietnam,
    the age of marriage according to Vietnamese law is 20 years for a man and 18 years for a girl. Increasingly, after marriage, young people try to buy or rent their own housing, which contradicts the centuries-old tradition of all generations living in one house. What can you do, again the influence of the West. If you found this article useful, please share the link to it on social networks. This will help the development of the site. How is a wedding in Vietnam?

    Organizing a wedding in Vietnam in 2022 includes an approximate celebration scenario, which in turn provides for:

    • wedding arch made of flowers on the beach or on the hotel grounds;
    • issuance of a symbolic certificate of the ceremony;
    • sweet treats and drinks;
    • photo session throughout the ceremony;
    • local rituals for the happiness of the young.

    You can also conduct a symbolic wedding ceremony in a Buddhist temple according to local customs. The newlyweds will be taken to the temple in the morning, where the ceremony will take place. After prayers and blessings from the monks, the couple is considered to have tied the knot. The couple will also release two birds into the wild, according to tradition. The ceremony takes place in Vietnamese national costumes. This ceremony is called Buddhist:

    In addition, you can rent a catamaran or yacht for a wedding, rent a villa or house, especially if the newlyweds are not going to come alone. This is especially suitable for those couples who are planning a European-style celebration. A wedding cake and a laconic arch on the territory of a hotel or private villa, cold champagne and a master of ceremonies - a wedding ceremony in Vietnam will be no less elegant than on the beach.

    Almost every agency leaves young people the opportunity to create their own script. Typically, such service packages are called individual and involve embodying the ideas and wishes of the couple.

    A wedding photo shoot in Vietnam, as well as a symbolic wedding, takes place in Nha Trang, Mui Ne and Phan Thiet. An experienced photographer will advise you on suitable locations and the best time of day for a photo shoot. Many Russian photographers work in Vietnam on a permanent basis.

    In this matter, it is better to consult with the photographer chosen for cooperation.

    Wedding in the Dominican Republic. Features of organization and conduct

    The ceremony involves choosing one of two wedding formats:

    Official marriage in the Dominican Republic

    Legal registration of a wedding in the state registry, valid in 135 countries, including Russia and all European countries. It has the status of an official document, but requires translation and notarization.

    state marriage registrar - a real local judge

    The official ceremony must be booked at least one month before the date. And yes, an official ceremony is not possible for an underwater wedding :)

    Symbolic wedding in the Dominican Republic.

    A ceremony that has all the attributes and solemnity of an official marriage, but without entering information into the state register. This type of wedding is best suited for couples who are already officially married.

    sincere happiness means a real wedding, albeit with a symbolic legal status

    Wedding day. Celebration

    From this moment modern traditions begin. The groom is in a strict European suit, the bride is in a white wedding dress, always with a long train. They greet guests at the entrance. Although, at some weddings, guests wait for the ceremonial entrance of the newlyweds. The hall has a large screen on which the results of the pre-wedding photo shoot are shown. At the entrance to the restaurant there is a large decorated box - this is a gift box. They only give money. Each guest must place an envelope in it. It is these gifts that pay for the wedding. And if there are rich, generous relatives and friends, then the young people still have a decent amount left over.

    How is a Vietnamese wedding different?

    Wedding in Nha Trang

    The picturesque capital of one of the Vietnamese provinces is a favorite place for symbolic wedding ceremonies. Nha Trang is located on the coast of the South China Sea and has a pleasant mild climate and unique nature. According to statistical surveys, this is one of the best places on the planet to organize a wedding.

    A wedding in Nha Trang means golden sand, azure skies, lush vegetation and friendly staff ready to fulfill all the wishes of the newlyweds. On the wild beaches of the Vietnamese coast, both official and symbolic ceremonies can be held for any number of guests.

    City hotels can provide rooms for newlyweds and their guests to suit every taste and budget. Many tourist complexes have restaurants and specially equipped outdoor and indoor areas for holding the main part of the celebration and banquet.

    How to organize a wedding in Vietnam?

    Future newlyweds do not need to be puzzled by procedural and organizational issues; the managers of the Southern Lights tour operator will take care of the organizational issues:

    • We organize flights for the bride, groom and, if necessary, any number of wedding guests.
    • We will make sure that the newlyweds live in comfortable conditions - if desired, it can be an ordinary hotel room, a small cozy apartment, a rented house, a villa that will accommodate not only the bride and groom, but also all the relatives who came to the Vietnamese wedding.
    • On your special day, we will take care of the rental of a limousine so that you can get to your wedding venue with all the “traditional” honors.
    • Depending on which part of the country you decide to marry Hymen - in the calm mountainous North or in the south, with its hot climate and character - we will select an interesting format for the holiday. This could be renting a catamaran, organizing a holiday on a floating restaurant boat, etc.

    Beach dress code for guests

    What happiness it will be if your loved ones can be present at your outdoor event, and therefore they must also correspond to the chosen style of the event. Great idea - marine theme. Guests can wear vests, stripes, caps and flowy dresses. Also support the theme by choosing a specific color. Blue and blue shades, as well as green and red, look appropriate.

    In any case, those present must abandon strict classic suits and cocktail dresses. Girls should buy sundresses and sets with skirts, and guys should buy shorts with shirts and T-shirts.

    Step-by-step instructions on how to open a business

    Russians who have experience doing business in Vietnam believe that if there is a choice, it is best to open a business in any other country. They explain this by saying that the specificity of Vietnam can “kill” even a profitable project. And this is just the tip of the iceberg.

    Step one

    Before you open a business in Vietnam, you first need to create your own company. If in Russia it takes up to 10 days to create a company, in Vietnam this issue is considered within several months.

    Vietnamese legislation is designed to ensure that a foreigner opens a company in partnership with a citizen of the country. This is necessary to maximize the involvement of the Vietnamese.

    Step two

    The second task after opening a company is to immediately redo the documents. The Russian undertakes to buy a share from the Vietnamese partner. Thus, a foreigner opens a company twice.

    Staff and landlords are not shy about asking strangers for impressive sums. As a result, after opening a business, a person becomes uncompetitive.

    By opening a company together with a Vietnamese, the Russian ends up losing. At first, the co-owner of the business may agree with the project, but in the end he will turn things around in a way that benefits him and not the foreigner.

    Step three

    After opening the company, the Russian will have to recruit a team. According to Vietnamese law, personnel can only be recruited from local residents. The goal is to maximize the involvement of local labor.

    If a foreigner wants to work exclusively with his own team, he will be forced to prove to the state for a long time that the specialists he brought are better than the Vietnamese ones.

    It is also common in the country to sell places in a foreigner’s company. Some entrepreneurs are faced with a request to employ a close relative even from the authorities.

    After this, the foreigner’s company turns into a feeding trough for someone who, ideally, should protect the interests of investors. Businessmen complain that they are forced to go to committees and tax authorities not empty-handed, but with a gift.

    The cost of the issue is small, but the fact that this happens all the time can significantly hit your pocket.

    According to Russians, today's events in Vietnam are reminiscent of what happened in the Russian Federation in the 90s. If a foreigner does not want to lose business, he will have to come to terms and play by the rules imposed on him.

    Required documents for registering a marriage in Thailand

    Getting married in Thailand will not pose any particular difficulties for you, since here the procedure is very easy. All you need initially is permission from your country's embassy to get married, which will entitle you to receive an official certificate of personal information. This document will then need to be translated into the official language of Thailand and legally approved with the help of the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Here is a detailed list of required documents:

    • A certificate from your country's embassy, which must be translated into Thai and officially approved by the ministry. This takes about three days, so plan ahead.
    • Information about place of work, position held and monthly income.
    • Have a copy of the divorce document certified by a notary (for those who have already been married before) and translated into Thai.
    • Information about persons (at least two) who live near the applicants (their addresses, names).
    • International passports.
    • If the applicant is under twenty years of age, written permission from his parents or their personal presence is required when the documents are submitted.
    • In order for a marriage certificate received in Thailand to be legal in Russia, it must be translated into Russian at the Thai embassy and approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the same country.

    Orthodox wedding

    The Church allows weddings in another country, so travelers can walk down the aisle in any Orthodox church in the world. That is, in most European countries, in Israel, in Cyprus, in Cuba (Kazan Church in Havana), in Japan (Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ in Tokyo) or even in Antarctica, where a small wooden Church of the Holy Trinity stands on Waterloo Island.

    The main thing is not to forget birth, baptism and marriage certificates, and for divorced people - about divorce. Sometimes you need to take written permission for a wedding from the rector of your church. Weddings are not held on the eve and during fasting, on Christmastide, on Maslenitsa and on Bright Week, as well as on some other days, so it is better to discuss the date of the ceremony with the rector of the temple in advance, at least a month in advance.
