- The wedding morning of the bride and groom, what could it be like? Tips for organizing
May 23, 20169197
Perhaps some of the most tender, touching and emotional shots can be taken from the bride's preparations. Imagine, she is a little worried, but is looking forward to meeting her groom. The door opened and he came in, saw her in a white dress, beautiful and happy... At this very moment, the photographer can capture surprise, admiration, and, perhaps, tears of happiness. How is your wedding morning going? And how to organize the preparations and ransom of the bride? In this article we will talk about such part of the wedding routine as the morning.
Wedding morning
Now wedding standards are rapidly approaching those of the West, where there is no tradition of bride price. But there is a meeting of the bride and groom, filled with bright and touching emotions. Many couples refuse ransom, but there are also adherents of classical traditions who still prefer to carry it out.
To be fair, it should be said that the tradition of bride price came from the Russian village, where each family member was a working unit. The girl was taken to another family and ransomed in the literal sense of the word, thus compensating for the damage to her family. Nothing like this happened in other classes. For example, in noble families there was a meeting of newlyweds, where they could be alone for a few minutes, talk, get ready before the ceremony, or the groom met the bride at the altar. However, let's look at both options: a wedding with and without a ransom.
Bride's preparations
The shooting begins when the bride's hair and makeup are ready, the stylist finishes the wedding look, and the photographer takes the final touches of this process.
Photographs of the final touches of hair and makeup are taken when the stylist's work is almost finished.

Locations for a photo shoot
Of course, the most logical option is to conduct a morning photo session at home. A familiar environment will allow the shyest girl to relax. And having everything you need at hand will minimize the possibility of unplanned situations.
Alas, photographers think differently! Unfortunately, most apartments have too little space and light to conduct a full-fledged shoot. And there are usually too many personal things that are familiar to us in the frame. Therefore, in order to avoid cosmetic repairs at worst, or rearrangement of furniture at best, it is worth looking for other location options.
For example, the studio will certainly have a lot of space and light, and the background will be thought out to the smallest detail. If you want more comfort, a spacious hotel room will do. It’s good to come here with a photographer a few days before the upcoming shoot so that the professional can evaluate the upcoming place of work.
It’s great if there is a park or square near the main location. Outdoor shots in soft morning light always turn out well. But studios and hotel rooms have an obvious disadvantage: here the bride will have to bring not only a support group, but also a lot of personal belongings.
Forgetting something amid excitement costs nothing. Therefore, try to mentally prepare for such surprises in advance, and treat them philosophically! A little advice: to avoid force majeure, leave a good margin of time. It is better to spend more time waiting for the festive ceremony than to interrupt the morning photo session in the middle or be late to the wedding palace.
Where to have a photo shoot for the bride?
Where is the best place to organize the bride's preparations? Usually, for a newlywed photo shoot, you have to choose between two options: a house or a hotel. Each of them has its own pros and cons. If the bride's preparations are planned at home, the girl will feel more confident. At the same time, there is a possibility that relatives, unwittingly, will interfere and distract. The home environment is not always ideal for filming. And the space for a photo shoot must be prepared in advance - the photographer needs free space. But, of course, you won’t have to spend extra money on a hotel room.
Nowadays, photographers usually advise the bride to choose a hotel in advance. Firstly, there are no people in the hotel who could distract you. Secondly, there is an opportunity to get enough sleep (this is difficult to do at home, since usually the bride’s mother is much more nervous than her daughter). Thirdly, the hotel already has large windows, luxurious stylish furniture, and a sufficient amount of free space. Disadvantages: the need to look for a number in advance, expenses for it, the possibility of forgetting something at home. In the latter case, you will have to urgently call your family and ask them to bring the necessary item.
Morning in nature
The optimal solution for brides whose wedding takes place in a country location. Check with the manager if there are rooms/houses on site for the bride to get ready or a natural location where you can install the necessary decor. This morning format will allow you to support the overall concept of the whole day, which is especially important if you have chosen a non-standard wedding format, for example, eco- or boho style.

pros
- • All day on one site: by eliminating travel, you add time for sleep, getting ready and communicating with loved ones.
- • Often the “bride’s room” is decorated in the general style of a country hotel, which means you will get a solid, harmonious picture of the whole day without the expense of additional decor.
Do you need a groom?
Many brides refuse the participation of the groom in a photo shoot with getting ready because of the belief that a girl in a wedding dress cannot be seen until the wedding. However, in modern times, customs have changed a lot. And often the groom appears in the frame with the bride. This not only adds romance to the photos, but also allows you to save on separate photos of the groom’s preparations (and, importantly, save time). Those who are accustomed to a traditional wedding have a question: what about the bride price? Now photographers advise abandoning the ransom altogether, replacing it with unique quests for the groom. This will make the wedding more beautiful and modern, and will give the photographer interesting ideas.
Full schedule of the bride's morning: how to have time to prepare everything
Do you agree that the anticipation of the holiday is somehow more pleasant than the holiday itself? It’s like a premonition of happiness, like the time before a flight at the airport, in anticipation of a journey. So, if we translate this feeling into the language of weddings, then this is the morning before the ceremony. Your X day has already arrived, but not yet in full force. Ahead lies preparation, cheerful chatter from friends, makeup and pleasant final chores. So that nothing overshadows this anticipation of the holiday, it is important to plan the morning correctly, without wasting a single minute. Wedding
I calculated how much time needed to be spent on preparation in order to get everything done.
Breakfast - half an hour
Since a day full of communication and emotions awaits you, we advise you to devote at least half an hour in the morning only to yourself and have breakfast alone. Prepare your favorite breakfast, but not too rich (so that there is no heaviness), simple (so that there are no unexpected surprises) and easy to prepare - it is better to save culinary masterpieces for family life. Brew some coffee to cheer you up, watch the sunrise and just enjoy the silence of the morning.
Hairstyle – 1 hour
Depending on the complexity of the hairstyle you choose, the stylist will take about an hour to complete it (maybe a little less if you have short hair and have chosen minimalist curl styling). But it’s better to budget an extra half hour if the technician suddenly gets stuck in a traffic jam. And then the extra time, if there is any left after all the preparation, you will simply spend with your loved ones over a glass of champagne before such a day. A glass of sparkling wine is allowed, but only one!
Makeup – 1 hour
We have repeatedly recommended procedures for facial skin before a wedding so that the skin looks radiant and moisturized on the day of the ceremony. If the skin is in good condition, then makeup will not take much time. An hour is the optimal time for him. Inspired by the “no makeup makeup” trend, we recommend applying a light tone, highlighting the eyes and choosing a matte texture in natural shades for the lips.
Dress - half an hour
To put on a dress without damaging your hair or touching your makeup, you will have to ask your friends for help. After all, helping you will be their main task for that day. Again, depending on the complexity of the image, getting ready can take up to 20 minutes to 40. Shoes, accessories, wedding lingerie and then on your individual list.
Photography – 30 minutes
If you want atmospheric shots from the preparation for the ceremony, it is better to do it in parallel with makeup, hairstyle and getting ready, so as not to waste time. Spend half an hour on shots with your family and friends; an experienced photographer should have time for this, especially if you made a moodboard in advance and showed him what you roughly want.
Document verification - 20 minutes
The day before, prepare all the necessary documents for the ceremony in a separate folder or bag, and also pack a cosmetic bag and a first aid kit just in case. We talked about what to take from documents here, and from medicines and cosmetics - here.
Spend the rest of your time with family
If you managed even before the scheduled time, feel free (but carefully, because you are already in a wedding dress!) Open a bottle of champagne and, together with your team, celebrate the beginning of the day for which you have been preparing for so long.

Some tips for preparing for your wedding:
- Do not experiment with your appearance and hair on the eve of the wedding.
- If you have problems with your facial skin that you want to eliminate before the wedding, then it is better to visit a cosmetologist and have all the procedures done at least 3 weeks before the celebration.
- For your wedding day, we recommend purchasing powder (or mattifying wipes) and lipstick, selected in advance, so that you can refresh your makeup yourself during the day.
- It is better to determine the place in the apartment to create your image in advance. It should be secluded so that no one disturbs you. Requires daylight or bright light, convenient placement near a window. It is important that there is an outlet/extension cord and a table nearby for cosmetics and irons.
- Check in advance if the stylist has the opportunity to do makeup or hairstyles for girlfriends and mothers. It is possible that another meeting is planned immediately after your wedding.
- Try to monitor your diet and not overindulge in salty and sweet foods on the eve of the wedding to avoid swelling and unwanted rashes.
- Do not use new cosmetics 3 weeks before the wedding.
- In our experience, the most calm and joyful preparations for the bride take place in a hotel or a separate apartment from the guests, parents and groom. This is due to the fact that there is no fuss around from family and friends. The bride's moral calm is the most important factor on such an exciting day. Therefore, we recommend that you arrange a festive and cheerful morning in the company of a sincere photographer and a first-class stylist, who will create a favorable mood for the whole day!
After many preparations on the day of the celebration, the stylist will arrive and create the chosen image, help organize the bride’s morning preparation and maintain calm. We will create a hairstyle, apply long-lasting makeup using professional cosmetics, and help you put on a dress and all accessories. We will select shades according to your type of appearance. If required for the look, we will perform eyelash extensions and eyebrow modeling in advance.
In the studio, as well as on the road, on this long-awaited day, we will have all the necessary consumables, cosmetics, and styling products, so you don’t need to worry.
Getting ready for the bride is a wonderful part of the wedding day, and now you can sit back and let your stylist help you look and feel amazing!
