Layout
The layout of the premises of a government agency office may seem strange and unusual at first glance. From the entrance, guests enter the hall, which is also a wardrobe. Next is the living room, on the left side of which there is a staircase. The second floor includes a ceremony hall and employee offices.
The premises do not provide a separate entrance to the wedding hall. Due to the narrow rooms in the building, crowding can occur, especially with a large number of guests. Civil registry office staff recommend limiting the number of people invited to register.
Moscow Civil Registry Office
Location features and parking
Among many other registry offices, the department of the Moskovsky district of St. Petersburg has a convenient location.
The department is located literally a 5-minute walk from the Victory Park metro station. Right next to it there is a large green park where the newlyweds can take a photo walk immediately after the painting. Please note that the Moscow Registry Office of St. Petersburg does not have its own parking area. In this regard, leaving the wedding procession can only be done on Moskovsky Prospekt.
Branch layout
After entering the front door of the Moscow registry office in St. Petersburg, you find yourself in a small elongated hall, which is equipped with a dressing room. The next room is a guest room, on the left side of which there is a small staircase leading to the second floor of the institution to the offices of civil servants and the marriage room.
Too narrow rooms and the absence of another entrance to the ceremony hall can cause minor difficulties while moving along the corridors. Be prepared that you may encounter another wedding procession as you exit the guest lounge. But during the wedding season, such a situation definitely cannot be avoided. In this regard, it is not recommended to invite dozens of guests, so as not to end up asking for unnecessary inconvenience.
Interior
The ceremony hall is a fairly spacious room, equipped with good lighting, and decorated in beige tones. The interior is more old-fashioned than modern, but the atmosphere evokes pleasant nostalgia rather than concern. Basically, newlyweds sign while standing, bending over, since the table with documents for registration is not high enough.
Like some other registry offices in the city, the Moscow branch of St. Petersburg does not have a wedding photographer, so you should invite your own master in advance.
Recommendations
1. It is best to arrive at the Moscow Civil Registry Office in St. Petersburg half an hour before the registration procedure. The getting married couple will need this procedure for a photo shoot and document verification. But if you suddenly come later, you don’t have to worry, you will still be scheduled on the appointed day.
2. Guests should expect the ceremony separately from the newlyweds. At the right moment, employees of the Moscow Registry Office of St. Petersburg will invite them to the hall.
3. Remove covers from passports in advance.
4. Usually the rings are collected just before registration. At the time of the exchange, the bride is advised to hold the flowers low so as not to obscure the photographer’s angle.
5. At the time of congratulations, it is better to give the bouquet to the witnesses.
6. After registration is completed, according to the rules of the registry office and wedding palaces, scattering coins, flowers and other attributes is prohibited. In some cases, this can be agreed upon in advance with the registry office employee for a small fee.
Design and photo
Immediately entering the Moscow Civil Registry Office department, you will find yourself in a small hall, which also serves as a dressing room. After the hall there is a guest room; on the left side of this room there is a staircase leading to the second floor of the government agency. On the second floor there are employee offices and a ceremony hall.
Due to the fact that all the premises in the state civil registry office are narrow, and there is no second entrance to the ceremonial hall, it may be difficult to move around the institution. Such situations often arise at a time when there are many people who want to get married. In this regard, it is not recommended to invite many guests to the wedding in order to avoid crowds.
The formal hall is the epitome of comfort and elegance. The room is equipped with good lighting and decorated in light warm shades. The interior of the hall, although ancient, does not cause any upset in visitors, but on the contrary, evokes a feeling of nostalgia. The table at which the newlyweds sign their marriage in the registration book is quite low and therefore the newlyweds have to bend over to sign.
Like many other similar institutions, the Moscow registry office does not have a full-time photographer, so you need to hire a specialist elsewhere.
Interiors of the Moscow registry office and registration procedure
The premises of the Moscow registry office have undergone major reconstruction. The entrance is now located directly from the sidewalk of Moskovsky Prospekt. Upon entering the room, you find yourself in a square hall with a staircase to, or rather, a room where the service rooms of the registry office specialists are located for processing documents. There's a wardrobe there. On the left is the entrance to the registry office with service rooms for registration of various acts of civil status. On the right is the entrance for the newlyweds and guests. After walking along a narrow corridor and climbing a few steps up the marble staircase, you find yourself in a spacious guest hall. There is a lot of light, mirrors, benches. On the right is a panel depicting the landscape when leaving St. Petersburg in the century before last. It depicts a horse pulled by a real plywood carriage. Anyone can take photos in the carriage. On the right is the door to the marriage registration hall. First, all the guests fill the hall, and only then the newlyweds enter it. The hall is designed in the architectural style of the Moscow region with huge panels with photographs of the area’s attractions. The main entrance to the Moscow registry office is also decorated. All that was left as a legacy from the old registry office was a table and chairs. The newlyweds sign at the registrar's desk. They exchange rings in the middle of the hall. After registration is completed, photography must be done in a narrow corridor on the steps of a marble staircase. Not very comfortable, but tolerable.
