Toning of plastic suede parts

A varied palette of shades helps you choose the right shade. However, in living nature, petals can contain several shades of colors. That is why tinting is used to create realistic details.

For this use:

Oil paints. This type of coloring composition is considered the most reliable. Tinted parts will delight you for a long time. The only drawback of this method is that it takes a long time to dry after application.

Acrylic sets. These paints are very easy to use. They dry quickly after application. An art brush is used to create subtle drawings. The disadvantage of acrylic paint is its ability to crack after some time.

Note!

Pastel. These paints are available in chalk form. They are applied using a damp cloth. To create a rich shade, tinting is carried out several times.

Decorative cosmetics. For work, use eye shadow, decorative lip pencils or lipstick. Only an experienced professional can work with such paints.

Understanding the material

Foamiran is an artificial material with an elastic, delicate structure. It is widely used in the craft industry to make various creative crafts. Other names for the material are “rubber paper”, “artificial suede”. It is elastic, similar to suede. In fact, foamiran is foam rubber, which changes shape when heated. In some cases, the warmth of human hands is enough for this. Thanks to this feature, you can create three-dimensional figures of different sizes.

A specific material is used for decorating interior items, jewelry, and wedding accessories. The most famous manufacturers are China and Iran. A higher quality, thinner version is produced by Iranian enterprises. A variety of shades, the ability to change the tone are additional advantages in favor of choosing foamiran.

The material has a number of distinctive features:

  1. Harmless. Foamiran does not contain toxic substances. It is absolutely safe for children. New sheets may emit a subtle odor. It quickly disappears after airing.
  2. Does not retain moisture. Any product made from this material can be washed with water. It will not change shape, will not get wet, or tear.
  3. Plastic. To give the craft a certain shape, sheets of foamiran are heated.
  4. Seamless processing. You can easily form a hole in the material with a hole punch, cut it with a stationery knife, or do embossing.

The modern world of needlework is diverse. Products made from foamiran are becoming increasingly popular among creative people. Ease of use, durability of the material, bright palette of colors make the most daring ideas come true.

Sunflower

Using foamiran you can create a wide variety of flowers. Hydrangea and sunflower also turn out great. They are made approximately according to the same principle, the only difference is the color of the foamiran. We invite you to create a sunflower using our recommendations.

  • foamiran (white or yellow, black, green);
  • thick paper;
  • paints (can be acrylic);
  • green floral ribbon.
  • toothpick or wire.

Master Class

  1. We cut out petals from foamiran in four different sizes, 12 pieces of each.
  2. If you use white foamiran, then you need to paint all the petals with yellow paint. To skip this step, you can take yellow right away.

  3. We make green leaves: either from white foamiran followed by painting, or directly from green.
  4. We twist the black strip of foamiran, having previously cut the edge along the entire length, and glue it together. The length of the strip is about 1 m and the width is 2 cm. The result is the core of a sunflower.
  5. We heat all the petals and then glue them around the center. We complete the process by gluing green leaves.
