Wedding in an estate: 5 ideal historical places for off-site marriage registration (Part I)

There are two types of field registrations – official and unofficial. The latter do not limit imagination, but require compliance with documentary formalities. This means that you can get married anywhere, but the ceremony will be a sham, and in order to get a certificate and stamp your passports, you will have to visit the registry office.

The second option to legitimize relationships in non-standard conditions is official on-site marriage registration. It is carried out by employees of the capital's registry offices in historically or architecturally noteworthy locations. The service of on-site marriage registration became available to Muscovites in 2006, and since then the list of venues for wedding ceremonies has been regularly updated. So, in 2019 it will be possible to get married at the Spartak stadium, at the Ostankino TV tower, at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, at Moskvarium, at the School of Modern Play and other most unusual places. The classic points of on-site marriage registration also remain on the wedding map of the capital - let’s get to know them in more detail.

Museum-Estate "Kuskovo"

General view of the Kuskovo Estate Museum. Photo: Shutterstock

Registration of marriages in the Kuskovo estate takes place in the White Hall of the Italian House. The estate of the Moscow gentlemen Sheremetev, presumably built in 1769-75, was intended for magnificent balls of the Moscow nobility, and the Italian House was intended for chamber receptions. The territory of “Kuskovo” is quite well-groomed and is especially beautiful in the summer, when it is surrounded by greenery and flowers.

Newlyweds are usually offered several packages of services, depending on who is organizing the ceremony - the estate itself or an agency. The latter can invite a string orchestra to play at the ceremony and decorate the celebration with themed accessories (a folder for the marriage certificate, a pen for painting, a stand for rings). Photo and video shooting from the moment the newlyweds enter the Italian House are included in the price, but for an additional fee you can invite your own photographer and/or videographer.

The optimal number of guests if the wedding takes place indoors is 20-25, and if outdoors, for example, in the garden of an Italian house, up to 30. The standard duration of the ceremony is 45 minutes. Guests can register for the estate free of charge, but for a walk they need to purchase entrance tickets for each person and permission for photo and video filming. An important limitation: you cannot photograph a wedding here with a tripod, but you can use professional equipment. Another taboo: champagne and breaking glasses “for good luck” ─ you cannot drink alcoholic beverages on the territory of the museum-estate.

They paint in “Kuskovo” on Fridays and Saturdays - from May to September, on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month - from October to April. You must submit an application to the Perovsky Department of the Civil Registry Office (Perovskaya St., 43).

Registry office in Barvikha Luxury Village

Technically, the registry office in Barvikha Luxury Village belongs to the Moscow region, but we simply could not ignore it: in the photographs in the “real weddings” section you will see it more often than others. And for good reason. The stylish, futuristic look of the wooden facade of this registry office, as well as the huge panoramic windows, will decorate any photo.

The house in the center of Tverskoy Boulevard changed owners for a long time, until in 1900 it ended up in the hands of businessman and industrialist Pyotr Petrovich Smirnov, the son of Smirnov Sr., the founder of the famous vodka production. Having decided to decorate the mansion for himself, he entrusted the project to the famous architect Fyodor Shekhtel, and another magnificent example of the Art Nouveau style appeared in the capital. Stained glass windows, decorated with plaster floral ornaments, a decorative forged balcony in the shape of a boat, bay windows amuse the eye from the outside, and inside the “wave” staircase, stained glass windows, stucco moldings, columns and grotesque bas-reliefs, family monograms of the Smirnovs delight.

Since 2016, official marriage registration can be carried out in the Smirnov mansion. For this purpose, 8 ceremonial rooms are open: “Romanesque Hall” and “Anteroom” (the ceremonial dining room of the Smirnov family and a small bright room - “transition”), “Classical Hall” (a large living room for receptions and musical evenings), “Egyptian Hall” (room for art exhibitions and especially lavish receptions), “Rocaille Room” (passage room with Shekhtel’s signature design), “Boudoir” (office of Peter Smirnov’s wife, connected by a secret door to the “Romanesque Hall”), “Gothic Study” (working space of the owner of the mansion ). As a rule, painting takes place in one of the small halls (“Boudoir”, “Rocaille Room”), and the photo shoot, banquet and formal program take place in a large room (“Classical Hall”, “Egyptian Hall”).

The number of invited guests varies from 10 to 250 (depending on the buffet or banquet seating). The duration of the wedding ceremony is from 45 minutes. You must submit an application to the Tverskaya Civil Registry Office (3rd Tverskaya-Yamskaya St., 52).

An example of neo-Gothic architecture, the Petrovsky Travel Palace, was erected in 1976-80s by order of Empress Catherine II to commemorate the successful end of the Russian-Turkish war. The building was built by architect Matvey Kazakov, who owns many famous Moscow projects, including the Novo-Ekaterininskaya Hospital, where the Moscow City Duma is located today, and the building of the capital's government. For a long time, the palace served as a place of rest for high-ranking officials who stopped there after a tiring journey from St. Petersburg to Moscow - hence the name “travel”. Today, the Petrovsky Travel Palace is located five minutes from the Petrovsky Park and Dynamo metro stations and only 10-15 minutes from the center.

The palace houses the Petroff Palace Boutique Hotel with 43 rooms, and wedding ceremonies are officially organized by the KST-Wedding agency, which offers several packages to choose from when booking. They differ in the number of guests (from 25 to 35 people), the duration of the ceremony (45-60 minutes) and the range of services (the presence or absence of a string quartet, master of ceremonies, floral decoration, etc.). Additional options are also available upon request: carriage and horse-drawn carriage, release of doves or launch of balloons, fireworks of live butterflies, arch with floral elements.

They are painted in the Petrovsky Travel Palace twice a month throughout the year (four times a month in the summer). Dates are discussed with the administration. You must submit an application to the Tverskaya Civil Registry Office (3rd Tverskaya-Yamskaya St., 52, +7 (499) 251-82-33).

Registration takes place in the Round Hall, and the buffet, if included in the program, takes place in the Palace Drawing Room. Photography in the palace premises is paid and must be booked in advance. You can also plan a walking wedding photo shoot in the park. To do this, you need to contact the Museum of Moscow (+7), pay for filming and obtain permission.

Meshchansky

One of the most recognizable interiors among all Moscow registry offices is Meshchansky, which is located on Prospekt Mira. It, like Griboyedovsky, is located in a historical building: the house of the merchant Dolgov, designed under the leadership of Vasily Bazhenov back in the 8th century. The spiral cast-iron staircase deserves special attention - it is made using Kasli casting technology and looks very impressive in photographs. The atmosphere is complemented by a large mirror in an antique frame and soft blue tones in the interior.

Do you want to get married under the arches of a real Russian palace built in the early 19th century? Welcome to one of the favorite vacation spots of Moscow nobles - the estate of General Nikolai Durasov with the name Lyublino, symbolic for the newlyweds. Here, the newlyweds will find authentic interiors of the Durasovo palace, nicknamed the “Russian Versailles” for its luxury, and interesting open areas for photo sessions (the theater school gallery, the palace colonnade – open from May to September). There is also an ─ imitation of the marriage procedure ─ for those who want to organize a celebration after a standard painting at the registry office or to celebrate a wedding anniversary in an original way.

There is an official on-site registration with a clear script and a duration of 45 minutes. Upon request and for an additional fee, additional services are provided: participation in the wedding performance of the Durasov family (performed by professional actors), a buffet (on the veranda overlooking the Ljubljana Pond or in the palace). At Lyublino, Fridays and Saturdays of every month are given away for painting. The application must be submitted to the Wedding Palace No. 3 (Yunikh Lenintsev St., 35, building 1). You can get into the estate to look around and make a decision as an ordinary visitor - with an entrance ticket.

Beautiful and ugly registry offices of Moscow

Hello!

Dasha is on air, today about registry offices and beauty.

(By the way, everyone read the entry on my blog, why are we the last to go to the registry office to book a date?)

Let's start with the bad stuff.

Let's leave out the registry offices in residential buildings, people go there for convenience, not aesthetics. Here I will trample, one might say, two pillars, two of my favorite registry offices in Moscow, which I wholeheartedly do not recommend for painting.

I don’t want to offend anyone’s feelings, many of our couples passed through these very sites and no one died; Moreover, they even got decent photos :) But it’s better for future generations of brides to avoid such an experience.

1. Izmailovsky Palace.

Acid madness, which does not go with any wedding color/theme unless it is an “acid madness” theme.

Okay, okay, all markers taste different, for some reason many people love this palace with all their hearts.

Although he is simply monstrous... That's enough. Did you understand. Personally, we are not fans of this place, since it is a remake of the 90s, kitschy, colorful and does not carry any historical value, except for the gates and one tower.

He is who he is. Its cultural content and chaos can best be described by this line from Wikipedia:

“The Kremlin in Izmailovo consists of nine museums and exhibition areas: the Museum of Russian Folk Toys, the Museum of the Founding of the Russian Fleet, the Museum of the History of Russian Vodka, the Museum of Bread, the Museum of Miniatures “World History in Plasticine”, the Club - Museum - Lecture Hall "Traditional Masks and Figures of the World" ", Moscow Animation Museum, exhibition "Japan. Dolls, fairy tales, legends,” as well as the interactive museum of entertaining devices “Grandfather’s Attic.”

Navy, vodka, Japanese dolls, bread and plasticine. And in the middle of all this, a dark registry office in red and gold tones, with a very ugly waiting room and a room painted with Khokhloma and women in evening dresses with violins.

On the plus side: there is a park nearby, a hotel and an excellent veranda “Geese-Swans”.

If you are a happy bride who is getting her signature at the Izmailovsky registry office, be prepared for difficulties with parking, crowds of tourists and photographs in which all the brightness of this creation will be visible, but you will not be visible at all.

It’s not enough for us to have spoiled karma and thrown tomatoes for Izmailovo, so now we will scold the SACRED!

2. Wedding Palace No.!, also known as “Griboyedovsky”.

We SINCERELY don’t understand why everyone wants to sign there.

It's not very conveniently located.

Not at all that handsome.

Dark, with a very red hall for painting.

Surprises await you in the waiting rooms: red, green and yellow. You'll find out if you visit inside.))

There are almost always queues and unfriendly staff.

There is no entrance, the exit is directly on the road.

Trouble with parking.

On weekends everything is blocked by limousines.

People of vague appearance with pigeons and magnets.

Frequent delays.

When we ask: “Why is he?..” The answer most often is a confident one: “Because number one!”

Okay, let's say for some it has sentimental value. Your parents got married there, your grandmothers got married there, and now it’s your turn.

But if this is not your case, then we do not recommend it! We especially do not recommend it on Fridays and Saturdays.

This is where our “strongly do not recommend” rating ends, because other classic registry offices do not cause such aspiration as these two, and people do not expect anything special from them.

Quite nice Meshchansky, (but prepare for delays of 30-60 minutes), looks like a bathroom, but at least the bright and updated Tagansky, Vernandsky will pleasantly surprise, on a weekday you can safely sign up for VDNKh, just stock up on an entry ticket or half an hour of free time and a comfortable shoes (but it’s not worth it on weekends), the registry office in Ramenskoye, and many in the Moscow region, are pleasantly shocked.

So, we had a fight, and now the question is: where to get married?

Fortunately, Moscow has become prettier under Sobyanin. And besides Barvikha there is joy!

Our choice and personal top (the following are our photos):

1. Registry office VEGAS Crocus City hall.

Beautiful, modern, friendly, no queues, convenient parking, near the embankment, from the elevator to the painting hall - everything is aesthetically pleasing.

Our favorite!

2. Registry office in Moscow City, Evolution Tower, Panorama-360 site.

If the wedding has an urban theme, then heaven itself ordered it to be supported by the appropriate registry office!

Light, spacious, crazy view, a walk near the City and a snack in Afimall. Perfect!

Among the nuances: no more than 10 guests, visiting the site is paid (equal to the cost of a ticket to Panorama-360).

Take a closer look at new sites, think about your timing, make your day comfortable and beautiful. Now is a great time when you can make such a utilitarian thing as going to the registry office an interesting and logical part of the overall holiday concept!

And what it will be: a planetarium, a hippodrome, a City, a classic palace or a stadium - it’s up to you to decide.)
